Analyzing soil microbiome distribution
One of the most powerful tools within BeCrop Portal is the Microorganism Explorer. Here you can see the microorganisms that make up your sample. Use it to know the specific species found in a sample. For example, to answer the following questions:
-
- Which is the top microorganism found in my sample?
- Do I have Saccharomyces in a certain sample?

Our specialist Gus Plamann, created the following video for you to learn more about this tool.
Explore microorganisms
Select your sample and analyze the microorganisms that exist on it. You can also see the percentage in which they are found.
🦠 Within the tool you can visualize microorganisms related to fungus, yeast, arbuscular, ectomycorrhizal, protist, bacteria and archaea.
Do you want to search for a particular microorganism? You can also do it, just add the microorganism you want to search for in the search bar and it will show you the percentage in which it is found in the sample.

Filtering microorganisms
To select the microorganisms you want to visualize you can do it in three different ways:
- Adding the name directly on the search bar, if it exists and you select it, a filter will be added on the sphere and you will be able to see exactly in what proportion it is.
- Clicking on one of the colors inside the sphere. By clicking you will see the name of the microorganism, its distribution and to which kingdom it belongs.
- Clicking on one of the kingdoms. Clicking on one of the kingdoms will filter the microorganisms that correspond to that kingdom so that you can analyze them.
