BeCrop Portal: How to upload files
Learn how to upload files and build your BeCrop Farms
With Shape Files
Watch the video above for a complete walkthrough of the process. If you prefer a quick reference, follow the step-by-step instructions below.
Step-by-step
1. Select Add Farms, upload your fields by selecting all the desired files and Confirm upload.
2. Assign your field and farm metadata from the dropdown list. The options are dynamically pulled directly from the specific files just uploaded. This can be renamed in the next step.
3. Build your BeCrop Farms. Think of each BeCrop Farm as a specific area of analysis or a dedicated project. All fields sharing the same farm name are bundled together and recognized as a single BeCrop Farm.
4. Select the pencil icon located next to the farm name to modify a farm grouping. To bulk edit, select the desired fields, then click the pencil icon in the table header. By changing the farm name, the system, creates a separate BeCrop Farm.
The system uses a distance limit to ensure sampling optimization. If you try to group fields that don't follow this limit, you'll receive an error message that the fields cannot be grouped with the selected farm.
5. With your BeCrop Farms structured, select the appropriate crop type for every individual field within your farm. Optionally you can assign management practices and switch between acres and hectares.
6. Check all the fields and click Continue
7. Organize your BeCrop Farms by ownership. If you manage multiple accounts, you can assign farms to specific clients by selecting the farms and choosing a client from the dropdown menu. Use the bulk selection tool to assign multiple farms in a single action. If the client is not listed, select Create a New One and complete the form.
8. Ensure all your Farms are checked and select Create Selected Farms.
9. Select all your farms or pick just a few and click Quote Farms Selected. The system allows you to tailor quotes for each selection. If you aren't ready for a quote yet, skip this step. Your farms are saved in the system and can be quoted at any time from the Portal Farms pannel.
